A sustainable global environment is a need that we are all aware of. We at Daiwa are actively involved in the issues of environmental pollution and global warming in order to fulfill requirements of the European Union’s RoHS & ELV directives, and other standards, including those related to greenhouse gas emissions.

Nowadays, we often hear the phrases "Global warming prevention",
"CO2 exhaust reduction", and "Environmental impact reduction".
There are many actions we must take to protect our green planet, the Earth.
And recycling is one of them.
In Europe, 8 - 9 million tons of cars and about 6 million tons of electronic
equipment are being scrapped every year. Surprisingly, over 90% of these
waste are being processed without any preprocessing and are being buried
in the ground or burned in the furnace. As a result, pollutants are released
into the air or leak into the earth, thus contaminating the plants we eat.
This will definitely affect the health of our children and their children.
The EU, fearing the consequences, officially announced the WEEE/RoHS Directives
on July 1, 2007. As a result, it has became impossible to ship products that
do not conform to these Directives of Europe.

* Products subject to the RoHS Directives are electric/electronice products and to the ELV Directives are automotive products.
The Super Light 700 (SL700) is thinner by 25% while retaining the same strength of conventional tube. As a result, the product is contributing to steel resource conservation and to CO2 reduction of ironworks while maintaining the same performance.

The weight of the Super Light 700 is 25% lighter than conventional tubes, thus the transportation cost is reduced. The transportation efficiency has been improved by 1.3 times, and the CO2 emission has been reduced by 25%.

The Strong X has about twice the strength of conventional tubes. It was possible to make the diameter of the tube thinner while retaining the same strength of conventional tube. As a result, the product is contributing to steel resource conservation and to CO2 reduction of ironworks while maintaining the same performance.

The Strong X is 38% lighter than conventional products. As a result, the transportation cost and the CO2 emission have both been reduced by 38%
