Outline of the Super Light 700 (an ultra-lightweight tube)
The Super Light 700 has conflicting qualities of being both "lightweight"
and "strong". The thickness of this steel tube is only 1.8mm.
Compared to conventional tubes, its weight has been reduced by 25% and
its tensile strength has been improved by 40%. Because of its lightness,
it has such merits as reducing the cost of transportation and reducing
the strain, stress, and exhaustion of the worker especially at high places.
Features of the Super Light 700
Nippon Steel and Daiwa joint development
The Super Light 700 is the masterpiece of work developed jointly between
Nippon Steel and Daiwa. This product was born from hint obtained through
the development of the "Door impact beam steel tube" by our subsidiary
in the United States.
Clearance of the Health, Labor and Welfare Ministry's safety standard
The Super Light 700 has cleared the Ministry standard of thinness and strongness
after passing the rigid tensility and yield strength tests both as a single
product and when formed into scaffoldings of six layers and three spans,
at the Ministry's testing facilities. We were able to obtain the approval
of the Ministry as conforming to its Ordinance on Scaffoldings as
ratified on March 5, 1996.
It is registered in NETIS.
The Super Light 700 is the only scaffolding registered as an excellent
technology in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's
NEw Technical Information System (NETIS). *

The Super Light 700 has the following three outstanding features:
1) Promotion of a safe operation and reduction of transportation cost due
to its lightweight.
2) Proven record of usage as a scaffolding and in safety of operation
(It has been widely used by the major construction and leasing companies.)
3) Contains an extremely low percentage of lead and cadmium in its zinc
plating, thus the effect on the environment is negligible.
