# STX (エスティーエックス)

STX (エスティーエックス)とは、日本製鉄株式会社と大和鋼管が共同開発をした、従来製品に対しより”しなやか”で”強靭”な特徴を持つ高張力鋼管製品の総称です。

一般的に[ハイテン](https://www.daiwast.co.jp/glossary/%E3%83%8F%E3%82%A4%E3%83%86%E3%83%B3%E9%8B%BC)パイプとも呼ばれる製品に含まれますが、大和鋼管ではこの他の高張力鋼管として単管パイプ用の[スーパーライト700](https://www.daiwast.co.jp/glossary/スーパーライト700)を展開しています。

鋼管の機械的性質である引張強さ/降伏点や耐力及び設計基準強度は、それぞれ従来材STK400に比べ約2倍以上のレベルに達しています。

”しなやか”とは”柔軟性に優れている”事を、”強靭”は強度と柔軟性が産み出す”復元力がある”事を指しており、これらの特性を活かし農業用ビニールハウスの支柱や道路資材、各種構造物等に多く使われています。
